THE PEOPLE BEHIND PKA

A family business.
A lasting commitment
to housing.

Pat Kelson Associates is a locally based, family-owned housing inspection company serving Connecticut.

For decades, we have worked with housing authorities and municipalities to support their inspection programs. Subsidized housing is the heart of our work.

Our background includes HQS, UPCS, quality control, and project-based inspections. We bring that experience to conversations about each agency’s needs and applicable inspection requirements.

FOR LANDLORDS & RESIDENTS

A little preparation
goes a long way.

Start with these practical reminders before your appointment. Follow the instructions from your housing authority and contact the office with questions about your specific inspection.

These reminders are a starting point, not a complete inspection standard or a guarantee of passing.

Ask an inspection question
Make the home accessible

Keep paths to rooms, doors, windows, and building systems clear. Arrange access to all areas required for your inspection.

Check alarms and utilities

Check that smoke and carbon monoxide alarms work. Confirm that the utilities needed for the inspection are in service.

Look for repairs that need attention

Review doors, locks, windows, lights, and plumbing. Have exposed wiring, leaks, broken glass, or other safety concerns addressed by an appropriate professional.

Review your appointment instructions

Read your inspection notice for attendance and access requirements. Contact the office listed on the notice if you need clarification or have a scheduling question.
